The Session expired message appears after a period of inactivity or if two System Operators try to login with the same credentials at the same time. This help topic explains these two messages and how to proceed when they appear in Volgistics.
To prevent you from seeing information that may now be outdated, and from inadvertently saving outdated information from a copy of a web page, clicking your web browser's Back button when using Volgistics may result in a Webpage has expired message.
If you see the Webpage has expired message while you are still in Volgistics, simply use the Volgistics menu to continue navigating through the system.
The message will disappear when a new menu page is selected. In contrast to the Webpage has expired message that appears as a result of using the Back button in your web browser, the Session expired message appears after a period of approximately 60 minutes of inactivity while you are logged into Volgistics.
This is a built-in security feature to prevent others from accessing your Volgistics session while you are away from your desk. Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. I am seeing a symptom where clicking a submit button on a particular web page is causing a "Webpage has expired" message.
Also, the page has no 'expires' header, and no 'cache' related headers. So I know those vlaues are not involved. Can anyone tell me specifically what drives seeing this "Webpage has expired"?
What I mean is, under the hood, exactly what is IE comparing to determine if this message is shown? It's obviously not the 'expires' header value compared to 'now' because this page specifies no value for 'expires'. Can anyone help? I have tried running IE in the 'IE 7' mode, and this does no good. As well as running it in quarks mode, and compatibility mode. Sounds like IE is set to cache the webpages or some part of the webpages and that is expiring. There is a way to avoid caching in IE as the expiration is a common issue.
You need to make sure your data sources for tables and grids are reloaded properly on postback as well. Hopefully this will help. The content you requested has been removed. Ask a question. Quick access. Search related threads. Remove From My Forums. Answered by:. Archived Forums. Web Forms.
