Paddlers can launch from the beach in the park. Bicycles must keep to roadways. Bicycle helmets are mandatory in British Columbia. The waters around Kin Beach park are popular for angling. Salmon, rockfish and shellfish are the most popular species. Fishing is permitted as per provincial and federal fishing regulations. All anglers should check the current regulations issued by Fisheries and Oceans Canada prior to fishing. Anyone fishing or angling in British Columbia must have an appropriate licence.
There is no designated swimming area at this park however there are opportunities for ocean swimming. At high tide, tidal pools form providing a safe area for children to swim. There will also be trail additions, storm system upgrades, trees with landscaping and a paved parking lot.
Access to the baseball diamonds on the west side will remain and the existing playground and bike rack are still available on the east side of the park. Phase two of upgrades will include the building structure with washrooms, storage and common areas scheduled to be tendered later in The need for upgrades was highlighted in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan in Community feedback was taken into consideration throughout and before shovels hit the ground. There is a covered pavilion for any surprise rain showers.
Kids will enjoy a variety of play equipment. This playground is located south of th Avenue on the east side of the Town of Fairview. An exciting variety of play equipment is located here next to an open grassy area. Picnic tables are available for snacks and picnic lunches! Stop for a play on the play equipment and set up a picnic on the camp tables provided.
The Cummings Lake campground is also near by, campers can enjoy the park during their stay. The Cummings Lake area is found on the north side of the Town of Fairview. Experience skating outdoors on a crisp clear Peace Country winter day. This well-lit rink can be enjoyed well into a long northern evening.
