In a game that prides itself on authenticity, and where everyone in the city spoke with an Arabic accent, Altair's accent is very jarring. Anyone else notice this?
A member of the Hashshashin with an American accent just doesn't seem right lol. Reply Share this post. User Info: LunarRoar. I like it, better than him running around during the 12th century with a 21st century American accent. LunarRoar posted Didn't they say in an interview there was a reason for that though? That is the original VA, he just gave it an accent now which I prefer. FGAssassinMit posted That is the original VA, he just gave it an accent now which I prefer Oh wow, really?
He sounds totally different. It sounds good, it's just I don't like when characters' voices change, it's offputting. User Info: Dylan Yeah its the same voice actor, with an accent. I prefer this one.
BossPerson posted I really can't stand how he sounds now. Maybe it's still my own personal distaste from the Bloodlines effect , but I really hate it.. Accurate or not, I'm very big on consistency with heavy story-oriented games. As one of the posters here mentioned, that type of voice, different from the rest was to show how important he was We're so quick to suspend our disbelief's about other insignificant crap, but somehow this made more than enough people asshurt?
And it really feels like his dialogue has changed as well. He just doesn't seem bad ass anymore, nor on the verge of being arrogant. He seems more like a successor than just a typical loyal student of the creed.
Like for example, in Assassin's Creed 1: If things would have transpired like we saw in the trailer, In my opinion , I feel as if he would've said something along the lines of But now with the accent and more, emotion? I just don't like it. I really don't give a damn about this topic.
I'm just here for the trophy. Here's hoping his tone and accent will change a bit along the rest of the game. In the first sequence we had in the trailer he was still a student, naive, and whatnot. Maybe we'll see an Altair with more resemblance to the one we came to know and love as we progress through the game. I hope. His voice definitely sucks now. Accent or no accent, he doesn't sound as badass as he did in AC1.
He had that voice in AC1, should have stuck with it. Once again complaining ruins things.
